4. Resize your photos before you upload them
It may be a no-brainer, but we’ve been asked to fix the speed on some sites that upload full size, print ready images that can be up to 4000 pixels on one side. For reference, a thumbnail is only 150 by 150 pixels. If you are uploading an image that will be displayed at 150 by 150 pixels, be sure that is its actual size.
