5. Ditch the Social Media Badges
There are many WordPress plugins that will display your social media information on a widget, header, footer, etc. But they are just adding to your loading speed. Instead, simply upload your applicable social media icons and link them to the corresponding site.
For example, this is the code we use for our FB icon:
